When you try to describe such a goal, people look at you funny, their faces turn upside down and fall flat as the canvas they were painted on. Watch as their attention span seems to crawl away into something of the far corner of the room where no hunting party dares look and you tell them about what's really important, as such the glimmer in a child's eyes, and they're tranced out. All that remains is the murmur of broken veins buried under wells and burnt bridges.
They, the generation that is you, that is us, epitomizes the ultimate loss of innocence and no one cares to remember what it was like to care, to seek happiness, to want peace and piece of mind. The search for truth is written in every spiritual scripture and it lies in the palm of your hand, in a smile, and in a "hello." Trepidations befall you because you have lost your way and when you discover what's really important to you, to all that internal junk between the fibers of your kidneys, behind the vacancy in your heart, you'll find what you've been missing and the world will click into place. Until then it's just heart palpatations, stress, and infarction after infarction; immobilizing and disheartening.
The advice that you have to give should be obvious: "Just smile. Withold your judgements. Don't put energy into the misguidence of others (aka level with people, hear them out, seek to gain new perspective.) And most importantly be happy, live, laugh, love, and just fuckin' do what you want to do!!! We are both inherently good and evil and it is our decision to pick our path.
